About

I have always had a fascination with the written word, and I have a particular fondness for the genre of the fantastical – horror, science fiction and fantasy.

In December 2002 I co-founded the UK’s only professional genre-exclusive theatre company, specialising in original adaptations of existing works. As well as directing all of the shows (which toured regionally and nationally)  I co-wrote 3 of them.

In December 2006 I launched Hub Magazine, along with co-editor, Alasdair Stuart. Though the magazine only managed 2 print editions, it was popular enough to keep going in electronic format, and is now Europe’s most widely-read weekly electronic genre fiction magazine.

You can find it here: www.Hub-Mag.co.uk

As well as editing Hub Magazine, I am about to join Angry Robot (the new SF&F&H publishing business of Harper Collins) as Assistant Editor. I am also the editor of Prism – the newsletter of the British Fantasy Society.

I continue to write, though editing takes up most of my time.
